The Margarita Salas, Baleària’s last fast ferry, combines the most competitive features of the pioneer in innovation and sustainability, the Eleanor Roosevelt, with a series of novelties in design and engineering to elevate the customer experience1. This ship, recently finished in Armon Shipyards for the Balearia company, has a spacious and modern interior design made by the company OLIVER DESIGN.

Key features of the interior design of the Margarita Salas:

Additional VIP deck: Compared to the successful fast ferry Eleanor Roosevelt, the Margarita Salas has an additional VIP deck, offering even more comfort and exclusivity.

Extended outdoor terrace: The outdoor terrace is more spacious and has a large central bar for passengers to enjoy the views during the trip. This area has a teak imitation resin floor and furniture from the prestigious Vondom firm

Interior improvements: A children’s area has been incorporated, a central area with a large “food court” service space and a new VIP area in the bow with double height.

Technological challenges: The interior design of the Margarita Salas is a great challenge due to the restrictions on the use of non-combustible and low-weight materials so as not to affect the high speed of the boat. These factors, together with a custom-made design for Balearia, result in unique interiors compared to other conventional fast Ferries.

Innovative materials: The interior panels are made of aluminum honeycomb, the ceilings have lightweight aluminum slats with integrated LED lighting. The carpets have a personalized design and attractive colors.

Ergonomic armchairs and bar areas: The boat offers comfortable reclining seats for the tourist area and VIP seats with reclining and electric footrests. There are also bar areas with swivel armchairs and custom-designed sofas for greater passenger comfort.

Private VIP lounges: In addition to the general passenger areas, two private VIP lounges have been incorporated.

Crew Areas: The government bridge is modern and attractive with all the equipment integrated into the custom-designed aluminum consoles. It also has comfortable cabins and a relaxation area for the crew with reclining seats.
