OLIVER DESIGN PARTICIPATES IN THE H2OCEAN
A “HAZITEK” PROJECT
THAT WILL BOOST THE NAVAL SECTOR IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY
TOWARDS GREEN HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGIES.
The Basque industry, through the H2Ocean project, funded by the Basque Government and led by Astilleros de Murueta, aims to carry out the R&D work necessary to develop a new generation of sustainable ships based on green propulsion, in addition to the digitization and optimization of manufacturing in maritime transport. The zero-emission ship would serve as a demonstration laboratory to validate clean naval technologies and as a showcase for companies to show them in real conditions.
This project is formed by a consortium of Basque companies, led by Murueta Shipyards to which, in addition, the companies Wartsila Ibérica, SIEMENS Energy Engines, Skandiaverken, Ingeteam Power Technology, Hydrogen Onsite, Sener Ingenieria Y Sistemas, PINE Instalaciones y Montajes and Oliver Design belong, with the In addition to the project partners, the following companies and institutions are interested in the project and collaborate in its development: Provincial Council of Bizkaia, Bilbao City Council, Bilbao Port Authority, Repsol, Petronor, Ibaizabal Tugs, IDOM, Bureau Veritas and Det Norske Veritas
